🐎 The Vasteuro Association is thrilled to see all of the new foals of the year and wishes them a warm welcome 🎉

Come to our stables in France for their very first outing and make them discover a fun trail ride imagined to test your foal's personality, bravery and fun !

The trail begins at the Chateau’s Grounds and follows a loop around the estate before ending in the Grand Outdoor Arena for a final parade. Participants may portray their handler and foal at any point of the course, as long as the scene clearly takes place during the Discovery Trail. (Check below for all of the resources you might need :) )

Course Route:

1. Start: Chateau’s Grounds (11)

The Discovery Trail begins at the Chateau’s Grounds, where handlers and foals are welcomed at the starting point. The pair enters beneath a decorated arch and begins their first official adventure on the Association grounds.

2. Treasure Hunt: Apple Field (12)

From there, participants continue on to the Apple Field. This station is a soft and playful introduction to the trail, where foals may explore the orchard, investigate the surroundings, and discover the apples scattered around.

3. Cone Path: Petit Paddock (8)

Next comes the Petit Paddock, where the foals are asked to make their way through a simple cone path. This station tests attention and calmness, while still staying very easy and suitable for young horses.

4. Obstacles Course: Wavy Field (7)

The trail then leads to the Wavy Field, where foals must face a small natural obstacles course. This part of the course is meant to encourage careful footing.

5. Bravery Station: Indoor Arena Area (5)

After that, handlers bring their foals toward the Indoor Arena area for small desensitization exercises. Here, the young horses are introduced to umbrellas, tarpaulin, pool noodles, plastic bags..., asking them to stay curious and confident in front of something a little unusual.

6. Splish Splash: Grand Paddock (4)

The next stop is the Grand Paddock, where the foals encounter some shallow water obstacles. Whether they step boldly through it or hesitate at the edge, this station is meant to be a fun little test of courage and trust (and fun if your foal is a water mammal after all)

7. Final Parade: Grand Outdoor Arena (1)

To finish the Discovery Trail, all pairs enter the Grand Outdoor Arena for a final parade. This last stage celebrates the foals’ participation and gives handlers a chance to proudly present their youngster after completing the course.

The must-read part:

• Participate to only ONE of these steps for your main entry, the rest is extra that won't count towards this event,
• You can enter multiple horses however one horse will not be judged multiple times :)
• Both handler + foal must be depicted and recognizable (young babies must have their dams nearby), fullbodies + color expected, but the style is up to you !
• You're allowed to use foals that aren't yours,
• Judging will be entirely subjective on my part: funniest/cutest/prettiest entry will win ;)
